Thanks and let's keep communicating

Thanks to all who sent their best wishes over the last few days. All are free to post their messages in the comments section or send them to me for putting them up on the page. Do communicate events/programs in your vicinity which could be of interest to our members.

One very multi-cultural event in Rome is the Romaeuropa Festival. It comprises events all around the year and at various venues. In October, we saw a beautifully choreographed Odissi dance performance set to Rabindranath Tagore's poetry. The recitation was in Italian and simply outstanding. For more current event information, this is the festival website.

Saturday

Looking ahead to 2008

It may be a little early to talk about Basant and Holi but we will organize a full cultural program around that time. Let us know your ideas and what you can prepare. At the Diwali function, a skit and a full fledged group dance were sorely missed. We definitely need more young singers and watch this space - we have a plan to bring them out in the open.

Tuesday

Diwali function

The Diwali get function on the 11th of November was an occasion to celebrate the festival of lights together. Thanks to all the participants especially the young ones who showed their talent at music and dance. Thanks to the audience for showing their appreciation and a special word of praise for the provider of the sound system. It was a show stealer.
